Airobotics Airbase
Autonomy in Flight
Airobotics Airbase
Client: Airobotics Drones
This system consists of an industrial-grade drone and a docking station that functions as an autonomous landing module. Known as the Airbase, the station acts as a full service pit stop, automatically replacing the drone’s battery and payload using an internal robotic arm. The system is designed to deliver fully automated drone operations for industrial environments, enabling seamless, hands-free service and significantly increased operational efficiency.
Industrial & Mechanical Design Solutions
A2Z Design is proud to have contributed both the industrial design and complex mechanical engineering required to bring this highly automated system to life:
- Industrial Design: Developed a sleek, rugged visual identity for the outer protective housing, ensuring a highly professional, market-ready look for enterprise environments.
- Mechanical Engineering: Designed the internal structural layouts, mechanical clearances, and physical linkages required to support the high-precision robotic battery-swapping arm.
- Weatherproof Durability: Co-engineered the motorized doors and outer shell to create a sealed, climate-proof enclosure that protects the delicate internal electronics from harsh wind, rain, and dust.
